7 Best Local SEO Reporting Tools in 2026

By Fenn8 min readAgenciesReportingLocal SEO

Local SEO reporting has three layers, and the tools split by which ones they cover. Google Business Profile performance (views, searches, calls, direction requests) is free in Google's own dashboard. Local rankings, and the map-grid view of them, come from Local Falcon (credit packs from $24.99 a month), Whitespark (from $14 a month billed annually) or the suites. Reviews, listings and client-ready reports come from BrightLocal (from $31 a month per location billed annually), Semrush Local ($30 a month per location), Moz Local (from $20 a month per location) or AgencyAnalytics ($25 per client a month). As of October 2026, BrightLocal and Local Falcon also track how AI assistants answer local queries.

7 Best Local SEO Reporting Tools

Prices and features below were checked on each vendor's own pricing, feature and help pages on 4 October 2026. They are list prices in US dollars before tax, as of October 2026. Local tools price per location or per credit, so run your own location count through each pricing page before you compare totals.

What a local SEO report needs to show

  • Google Business Profile performance: views, search terms, calls, direction requests and website clicks.
  • Local rankings, ideally as a grid across the service area, because a business can rank first next door and nowhere three miles away.
  • Reviews: count, rating, new reviews and responses.
  • Listings and citations: whether the name, address and phone are consistent across directories.
  • AI answers: whether ChatGPT or Google's AI features name the business for local questions. Two tools below now report this.

The tools, one by one

BrightLocal

Three plans priced by number of locations. For one location: Track $31 a month billed annually ($41 monthly), Manage $40 ($54) and Grow $49 ($65), with a 14-day trial and no card. Track includes local rank tracking for up to 100 keywords and four competitors per location, a geo-grid map for up to five keywords, citation accuracy monitoring, a Google Business Profile audit with competitor benchmarking, local SEO audits and a Local AI Visibility Tracker for ChatGPT and Google's AIs. Manage adds listing sync and profile post scheduling; Grow adds review monitoring, requests and responses. White-label reports and a branded client portal are on all three plans, with report links on a generic unbranded URL rather than your own domain, per the FAQ on its white-label page. The platform works in the USA, UK, Canada and Australia. Best for agencies that want one tool for rankings, listings, reviews and branded reports. Limit: outside those four countries it is not an option.

Local Falcon

Built around grid scans: one credit is one map pin, so a 5x5 grid uses 25 credits, and grids run from 3x3 to 21x21. Monthly packages are $24.99 (7,500 credits), $49.99 (15,150), $99.99 (31,250) and $199.99 (63,150), with annual packages and pay-as-you-go credits at $0.05 each that never expire. Keywords and locations are unlimited. All plans include AI visibility tracking, scheduled scans, campaign and competitor reports, public report URLs and CSV and PDF exports; white-label reports are on Premium only. Its AI visibility page lists ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, AI Mode, Copilot and Google AI Overviews (the page headline says eight platforms). New accounts get 100 free credits without a card. Best for showing a client exactly where in the service area they rank. Limit: credit maths takes some planning, and branded reports need the top plan.

Whitespark Local Rank Tracker

Separates Google's local pack, maps and organic results, with a visibility score, competitor comparison, a profile report, white-label reporting, scheduled daily, weekly or monthly email reports and CSV and PDF export. Weekly tracking is $14 a month billed annually for 100 location keywords ($17 monthly), $30 for 250, $60 for 1,000 and $117 for 2,500; daily tracking costs more ($20 to $167 billed annually). All plans include unlimited domains and locations and a 14-day trial. Grid tracking (Local Ranking Grids, from $10 a month), a citation finder and review tools are separate Whitespark products. Best for agencies that want accurate local rankings at a low price and already handle reviews elsewhere.

Semrush Local

A Semrush toolkit priced per location: Base $30 a month (profile management with an AI agent, AI post generation and publishing, review auto-replies and Map Rank Tracker with 375 credits) and Pro $60 a month (adds listing management, review management and generation, advanced profile management and 1,225 Map Rank Tracker credits). Branded reports go through Semrush's Pro Report add-on ($20 a month per report). Best for agencies already reporting from Semrush. Limit: Semrush's FAQ on buying Local without another Semrush subscription did not load when we checked, so ask before you budget it as a standalone tool.

Moz Local

Each location needs its own subscription: Lite $20 a month ($199 a year), Preferred $30 ($299) and Elite $40 ($399), with Enterprise for 50+ locations. It manages listings across 90+ sites and includes Local Grid heatmaps and search result rankings on all tiers, review monitoring on all tiers and review responding and generation from Preferred; Elite adds a reporting suite for leads, reviews and social. Best for businesses whose main problem is inconsistent listings. Limit: Moz's pricing page does not mention white-label reports, so agencies should confirm how client reports are branded.

AgencyAnalytics

Not a local-only tool, but its Google Business Profile integration reports search queries and views, website clicks, direction requests and calls, ratings and a live reviews feed, and aggregates multiple locations, inside a white-labelled client report that can be scheduled daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly. Local rankings come through the Rank Tracker add-on ($41.67 a month per 500 keywords billed annually). The core plan is $25 per client a month ($20 billed annually). Best for agencies whose local clients also run ads and want one report. Limit: no grid scans or citation tools of its own.

Google Business Profile performance (free)

Google's own performance view for verified profiles shows interactions, search terms, views on Search and Maps, direction requests, calls, website clicks, messages and bookings, from both organic results and Google Ads, for one or several profiles over a custom date range. Search terms update at the start of each month and can take up to five days. It is free and first-party, which makes it the number every paid tool should reconcile against. Limit: no rank grid, citations, reviews analysis or branded report.

Local AI answers: what is new this year

A buyer can now ask ChatGPT or Google's AI Mode for 'the best dentist near me' and get an answer that names only a few businesses. As of October 2026, BrightLocal includes a Local AI Visibility Tracker on every plan and Local Falcon includes AI visibility tracking on every package; the other tools here list profile, ranking, review or listing reporting only. Treat the numbers like any sampled AI metric: ask which assistants were queried, from which location, how many times, and whether the business was named in the text or only linked as a source. The same question can return a different answer on the next run.

Fenn is not a local SEO tool and is not ranked here. It checks what five AI assistants say about a business for the questions its customers ask and prepares website fixes and page drafts for approval, but it does not track map rankings, listings or reviews.

How to choose

  1. Count locations and the keywords per location you report on. Per-location tools (BrightLocal, Semrush Local, Moz Local) and per-credit tools (Local Falcon) diverge quickly at 20+ locations.
  2. Decide whether the client needs a grid. If the business serves a radius, a single-point rank is misleading and a grid tool earns its cost.
  3. Decide who owns reviews and listings. If another vendor handles them, a rank tracker plus Google's free data may be enough.
  4. Check branding: BrightLocal, Whitespark and AgencyAnalytics include white-label; Local Falcon only on Premium.
  5. Reconcile one month of a paid tool's profile figures against Google's own performance view before you trust it in a client report.

FAQ

What is the best local SEO reporting tool for agencies?

For one tool that covers rankings, listings, reviews and branded reports, BrightLocal, as of October 2026, if your clients are in the USA, UK, Canada or Australia. For map-grid evidence, Local Falcon. For low-cost rank tracking, Whitespark. Agencies that already report everything in AgencyAnalytics or Semrush can add local data there.

Is there a free local SEO reporting tool?

Google Business Profile's performance view is free for verified profiles and shows views, searches, calls, direction requests and website clicks. It does not show rankings or a branded report. Local Falcon gives 100 free credits on sign-up, and BrightLocal and Whitespark offer 14-day trials.

What is a geo-grid rank report?

A map of rank positions for one keyword, checked from many points across a service area. It shows where a business appears in the local pack and where it drops out. Local Falcon, BrightLocal (up to five keywords on Track), Whitespark's Local Ranking Grids, Semrush Local's Map Rank Tracker and Moz Local's Local Grid all produce versions of it.

Can local SEO tools track ChatGPT?

Some can. BrightLocal's Local AI Visibility Tracker covers ChatGPT and Google's AIs, and Local Falcon's AI visibility tracking lists ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, AI Mode, Copilot and AI Overviews, as of October 2026.

Put this to work on your own website.

Fenn finds what your customers ask, drafts the articles and site fixes, and measures what ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Grok say about you — with every change waiting for your approval.
