The numbers, defined
When you run a measurement, Fenn reports these per engine, never blended, and shows the answers behind them.
Share of answers
answers naming you ÷ answers collected
Does the engine know you exist for this question? The headline number, reported per engine.
Share of voice
your mentions ÷ all brand mentions in the same answers
Of every brand named across those answers, how many were you. It moves when a competitor ships a good page.
Average position
mean position of your first mention, in answers that name you
When you are named, how early. Answers that leave you out are not counted as a bad rank.
Sentiment
how the sentence about you reads
Whether the mention helps you. “Cheaper but harder to set up” is a mention, and it is not an asset.
