Profound Pricing (October 2026): Trial, Enterprise, Agency

By Fenn7 min readAEOToolsBudget

As of October 2026, Profound does not publish a price for brands. Its pricing page lists two brand plans: a free Trial (50 prompts run daily for 7 days on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, with limited AI Marketer credits) and Enterprise, a custom package with tailored prompt tracking on up to 9 answer engines, SSO/SAML, SOC 2 compliance and dedicated support. Both include unlimited seats. For agencies, Profound's self-serve Agency Growth plan comes with 400 credits per month per client workspace; Profound's launch post prices each additional client workspace at $399 a month and 5 extra pitch workspaces at $199. If you need a published price, Peec ($95), Otterly ($29), Scrunch ($250) and AthenaHQ ($295) list theirs.

Everything below comes from tryprofound.com/pricing and Profound's own blog, read on 25 October 2026. Profound changes its packaging often; confirm figures on a call before you sign.

What the free trial is good for

The trial runs 50 prompts a day for a week on three engines, which is enough to see Profound's reports, sentiment and citation views on your own brand. It is not enough to judge your visibility: the prompts are a recommended set for your industry that you cannot edit, so they may not be the questions your buyers ask, and seven days is a short sample for answers that change from run to run. Use it to evaluate the product, and keep your own fixed question set for the comparison.

What Enterprise adds

  • A tailored prompt plan: your own prompts, editable at any time, with Profound notifying you as you near your limit.
  • Up to 9 answer engines, including Claude, DeepSeek and Copilot, which the trial does not cover.
  • Custom languages and regions, and ChatGPT Shopping tracking.
  • AI Marketer credits for the team: Profound's agents for research, writing and reporting run on credits, consumed per run by complexity.
  • SSO/SAML, SOC 2 compliance and dedicated support.

Profound for agencies

Profound's pricing page says its self-serve Agency Growth plan comes with 400 credits per month per client workspace, and that more credits require an Enterprise package. Its November 2025 launch post describes the plan: 10 pitch workspaces a month for auditing prospects, 5 seats, consolidated billing, an extra client workspace at $399 a month and 5 more pitch workspaces at $199 a month. The base price of Agency Growth was not shown on the pricing page when we checked, so ask for it with the workspace price.

Benchmark a quote before the call

Without a published price, the best preparation is to price the same job on tools that do publish. Take 100 prompts tracked daily on 5 engines, about 15,000 AI answers a month. On published plans that configuration looks like this:

  • Peec AI: Pro ($245 a month, 150 prompts on 3 models) plus 2 extra models at $70 each, $385 a month; Claude and Grok need Peec Enterprise.
  • Otterly.AI: Standard ($189 a month, 100 prompts on ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot) plus Gemini at $59, $248 a month; Claude is another $109.
  • AthenaHQ: Starter ($295 a month) includes 3,600 credits at 1 credit per response, about 120 answers a day, so 15,000 answers a month needs extra credits, priced by sales.
  • Semrush: the AI Visibility Toolkit tracks 25 prompts per domain, so 100 prompts means the Pro+ plan (100 prompts, $299) or Advanced, priced on request.

If a Profound Enterprise quote for the same 100 prompts on 5 engines lands well above these, ask what it includes that they do not: the extra engines (DeepSeek, Exa Search, Claude), ChatGPT Shopping, AI Marketer agents, SOC 2 and SSO. Those can justify the gap for a large brand and add little for a small one.

Agency maths

At $399 a month per additional client workspace, 10 client workspaces cost $3,990 a month before the Agency Growth base fee, against $495 a month for Peec's Growth agency plan (25,000 credits shared across clients) or $199 a month for Fenn's Agency plan (up to 25 websites). Profound's per-workspace price includes 400 agent credits per client, so compare it with what those agents would replace in your own team's time.

Questions to ask on the sales call

  1. How many prompts, on which engines, at what refresh, for our quote? Ask for the price per prompt per engine so you can compare it with published plans.
  2. Is the contract annual, and what happens if we exceed the prompt limit mid-term?
  3. How many AI Marketer credits are included, and what do the agents we would use cost per run?
  4. Can we export raw answers and citations, and keep them if we leave?
  5. For agencies: the base Agency Growth price, the client workspace price and whether clients get their own logins.

Peec Enterprise and Scrunch Enterprise also add Claude, Grok and more engines on custom plans, so a fair comparison with Profound Enterprise is quote against quote. Our Profound alternatives post compares them by why teams look elsewhere.

Where Fenn fits

Fenn publishes its prices: $29, $79 or $199 a month for 1, 3 or 25 websites, set up after a 30-minute demo. It asks ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Grok your buyers' questions when you start a check, reports share of answers, share of voice, position, sentiment, competitors and cited sources, and turns each gap into a site fix with a ready prompt or an answer-first page draft that you approve and publish. It does not track Google AI Overviews or run on a schedule.

FAQ

How much does Profound cost?

Profound does not publish a brand price as of October 2026. Brands get a free 7-day trial and then a custom Enterprise package; agencies on Agency Growth pay $399 a month per additional client workspace, according to Profound's own launch post.

Does Profound have a free trial?

Yes. The Trial runs 50 prompts daily for 7 days across ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, with limited AI Marketer credits. The prompts are recommended for your industry and cannot be edited.

Which engines does Profound track?

Enterprise can track up to 9: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek, Anthropic Claude, Google AI Overviews and Exa Search. The trial covers ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews.

Is Profound worth it for a small team?

Usually not as a first tool. Profound's strengths (9 engines, agents, SOC 2, SSO) matter most to large brands. A small team can run the free trial, then compare a $29 to $250 published plan on the same prompts.

What is a cheaper alternative to Profound?

With published prices: Otterly from $29 a month, Peec from $95 and Scrunch from $250. Price them on the same prompts and engines you would track on Profound before comparing.
