10 Best AI Mode Tracking Tools in 2026

Search Console first, then a tracker

Google announced Search Generative AI performance reports in Search Console on 3 June 2026 and, in a note on the same post, says they reached all websites worldwide on 31 August 2026. The reports show impressions of your URLs within generative AI features on Search, such as AI Overviews and AI Mode, with pages, countries, devices and dates. The announcement lists no query or click data and no view of other sites.

A tracker fills those gaps. It sends a fixed list of prompts to AI Mode on a schedule and records whether your brand is mentioned, whether your URL is cited, and who else appears. That is what you need to compare yourself with competitors or to test whether a page change made a difference.

It starts at $199 a month per index and $699 for all; custom prompt packages start at $50 a month. Best for: market-wide research on which brands AI features favour. Limit: the main index refreshes monthly.

BrightLocal: local AI Mode answers

BrightLocal's Local AI Visibility Tracker covers AI Overviews, AI Mode and ChatGPT for local businesses, up to 20 prompts per location, on every plan from $41 a month per location ($31 billed annually). It works in the USA, UK, Canada and Australia. Best for: multi-location local businesses. Limit: 20 prompts per location.
